Adele Wins an Oscar

Here is a collage of Adele at the Oscars that I made in Photoshop. I did this to get some ideas for what I am going to do for this project. 

Adele drop shadow

Here I have used the fibres filter in Photoshop to create a curtain effect. I have used a drop shadow to make Adele stand out and to create a shadow like effect against the curtain. 

Even More Adele

What I have done here is I have used the lens flare filter in the image to create the effect of a spotlight behind the amazing Adele.

More Adele

My teacher helped create this with the polygonal lasso tool and the paint bucket in in Photoshop which gave it a sort of comic book/50s look.

Here I did the same affect that I had done with the gold but it was a little trickier as I had to keep the mic stand.

What the top ten food companies own

The top ten food companies seem to own everything. Maybe that's because they do own everything!

Top ten food companies

Here are the logos for the top ten food companies. The one with the fancy J is General Mills who own Betty Crocker, Lucky Charms, Cheerios and Cookie Crisp. I know that Nestle produce Cheerios and Cookie Crisp in the UK that might mean that General Mills and Nestle are linked.

Record labels

Above is some research that I have done on record labels. I noticed that CBS and Columbia had the same logo so it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they are owned by the same company.

Colour spotted Adele

For my latest project I am designing a poster depicting a scenario for X L Recordings I have chosen Adele winning an Oscar for Skyfall. I have colour spotted Adele at the Oscars.

Merchandise

As I am redesigning Southport College's logo I have to make sure that it looks good on merchandise like a coffee mug or t-shirt.

Refined logo

I opened my logos into illustrator and I traced over the shape using the pen tool. The final result looks really sleek, smooth and sophisticated. My favourite is the one in middle.

T-Shirt idea

I am now thinking about designing merchandise for Southport College such as: t-shirts, bags, mugs and hoodies.
